cadet membership can be completed on-line with a credit card at here.

completed this so it can then be approved. You will then bring me a check made out
to Anderson CAP for $50 to cover your uniform cost. You will get a membership
number after approval.The other
option is to bring a completed paper application to me with two checks, one for $35 made
out to Civil Air Patrol and a second for $50 made out to Anderson CAP. This
process will take about two weeks before getting your membership number.

After CAP NHQ reviews your application, the squadron
commander will approve it. I will then notify you by email of your

As soon as I receive your CAP ID #, I will
then issue you a BDU uniform with patches for you (or someone) to sew
on. You will need to purchase Black Jungle type boots. As part of
your BDU, you will also need to wear a black T-Shirt and a blue web belt with a
black buckle. After you complete your first achievement, the Curry Achievement, you will be sent an email voucher to purchase a Blues Uniform from Van Guard.
You will receive the following patches for your BDU: "Civil Air
Patrol" Tape (#1), the unit patch (#10), the SC Wing patch (#21), and the
American Flag patch. I will place an order with a company called Van
Guard, for your Blues Name plate and for your BDU name cloth tape. The
name cloth will need to be sewn on the BDU in addition to the patches.
Any of the Cadet Staff can help explain the proper wear of the uniform to you.
Once you have your CAP ID# you are then ready to log onto E-Services. E-Service
is your on-line membership record. This link will take you to step by step
instructions on how to log on.
At this time you will also take the “Introduction
to CAP Safety Program for New Members”. Once on E-Services use this link to
complete your safety education requirement.
The opportunities offered to cadets by CAP seem almost endless. Things like
Orientation Flights, Color Guard, Summer Encampment, Special Activities, and so
much more are the things you now have to look forward to. Your journey has only
